Public Administration Reform: RPR and Partners Discussed Challenges and Prospects with Baltic Diplomats

The Reanimation Package of Reforms Coalition (RPR) team took part in a meeting of civil society experts and representatives of organizations that signed the Manifesto on Public Service Reform with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Ukraine, Andris Pildegovičs, as well as representatives of the Embassies of Estonia and the Republic of Lithuania.

On October 16, at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, participants discussed the current state of Ukraine’s public administration reform, key challenges, and priority areas of work in the context of European integration.

Ambassador Andris Pilgdevovičs expressed gratitude to the experts for their in-depth presentation of the situation, noting his personal interest in the reform as a newly appointed ambassador. He also shared his experience in European integration processes and governance reforms throughout his career.

Serhii Horovenko, Advocacy Manager at the Coalition, emphasized: “We are grateful to the Latvian Embassy for its openness to dialogue. It is extremely important for us to be able to share expert assessments of the public administration reform and jointly search for solutions to accelerate its progress. Support from our Baltic partners strengthens our confidence that Ukraine’s path toward a professional and European public service is possible — and we are already laying its foundation today.”

The meeting took place within the framework of the project PAR4UA — ‘Strengthening Ukraine’s Public Administration Reform for EU Integration’, implemented by Professional Government Association (PGA, Ukraine) and Providus (Latvia) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.
