Experts from the RPR Coalition took part in the large-scale Forum “Partnership for a Better Future: Recovery and Strategic Development of Communities,” organised by Active Community, an NGO member of the Coalition.
Over the course of two days, more than 120 participants from different regions of Ukraine—including representatives of civil society, business, local self-government, government institutions, and international partners—discussed how to ensure the sustainable recovery of communities and their strategic development in the context of European integration.
The discussions also focused on democratic development, donor priorities, culture as a security code, the role of business in recovery, and the rehabilitation of military personnel and their families.
In addition, Olga Lymar, Executive Director of the RPR Coalition, spoke at one of the panel discussions dedicated to public policy, the role of communities in strategic planning, existing challenges, and achievements already made.
Forum participants sought answers to key questions, including:
how national and local policies should change to make communities resilient and ready for European integration;
what modern approaches to strategic planning should look like;
what should be taken into account when attracting investment and grants;
how best community practices work in the areas of education, culture, participation, and youth policy;
how business shapes social responsibility, supports the military, and contributes to the development of vocational education and human capital;
why it is important to discuss culture as a tool for community security and identity;
how to prepare society to work with trauma and veteran rehabilitation.
We congratulate our partners and thank them for a productive and meaningful discussion.
