Ukraine on the Path to the EU: A Course Toward Anti-Corruption. RPR Coalition at the “Festival of Ideas”

War and corruption — since 2014, these two problems have consistently competed for the top spot among the greatest threats to Ukraine.

This is the firm belief of Viktoriia Didach, Advocacy Manager of the Reanimation Package of Reforms Coalition. Together with the Coalition team, she joined the panel “Ukraine on the Path to the EU: A Course Toward Anti-Corruption” at the Festival of Ideas.

The Festival is an annual intellectual event where everyone can share their ideas and hear the perspectives of others. This year, the 9th Festival of Ideas took place on September 20 in Kyiv, bringing together opinion leaders, government representatives, civil society, and international organizations to collectively search for answers to today’s challenges.

In her speech, Viktoriia emphasized the concept and importance of systematic anti-corruption mainstreaming across all reforms and shared practical tools:

“It is impossible to imagine Ukraine’s path to the EU without anti-corruption. This is not just a requirement from Brussels but a fundamental basis of our statehood, especially for a country at war,” Viktoriia stressed.

We thank the team of East SOS Foundation — a member NGO of the RPR Coalition — for organizing the event with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and within the project “Supporting War-Affected Vulnerable Groups and Residents of Remote Areas of Ukraine”, funded by the European Union.
