The Government has approved the Action Plan for the implementation of the European Commission’s recommendations presented in the EU Enlargement Package 2024.
The plan was developed under the coordination of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration with the involvement of all responsible authorities, said Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna.
What does the plan consist of?
380 measures aimed at implementing the recommendations of the European Commission’s Progress Report on Ukraine’s progress under the 2024 Enlargement Package, as well as continuing to implement the Commission’s 2023 recommendations that have not been fully implemented.
Measures to implement 195 recommendations under 33 negotiated Chapters within six Clusters and areas: economic criteria, functioning of democratic institutions, and public administration reform.
For example, measures in the areas of: the foundations of the EU accession process, the EU internal market, competitiveness and inclusive development, the Green Agenda and sustainable connectivity, resources, agriculture and cohesion policy, and external relations.
Each measure is assigned to a specific recommendation and includes deadlines and those responsible for their implementation. Ukraine’s progress in implementing the recommendations serves as an indicator of our country’s readiness for integration into the European Union.
Olga Lymar, Executive Director of the RPR Coalition, is confident: “Approval of the Action Plan for the implementation of the European Commission’s recommendations can become an additional tool for monitoring our progress in European integration and will help structure the state’s efforts in all key areas. Representatives of the RPR Coalition have already been involved in the work of the negotiating (working) groups and will continue to promote the key reforms necessary for Ukraine’s membership in the EU. I am convinced that the cooperation of all stakeholders, including representatives of civil society, government, parliament, business (from small to large) and others, is the key to the implementation of the plan.”
We congratulate the government on the next step on the way to the European Union!
