How can Ukraine ensure democratic sustainability and European integration in times of war? This will be the key question in a new project that Democracy Reporting International is launching together with its partners, the Center for Political and Legal Reforms and the Reanimation Package of Reforms Coalition.
The project “Democratic Integration, Resilience, and Engagement” (Ukraine-DARE), supported by the German Federal Foreign Office, will last for two years. It aims to support the development of Ukraine’s democratic institutions, strengthen their resilience during the war, and facilitate the country’s path to the European Union. The team will work with state institutions, parliament, local authorities, and experts. The project will combine three components:
The project activities will include forums, expert discussions, including for the international audience, analytical research, schools for youth, internship programs, and grants for youth, communities, internally displaced persons, etc.
Democracy Reporting International is an international non-governmental organization working to promote democracy around the world. In close cooperation with civil society, parliaments, local authorities, experts and policymakers, the organization strengthens democratic processes and institutions through impartial analysis and expertise as a basis for decision-making. The Centre of Policy and Legal Reform is a think tank, a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1996 to promote political and legal reforms in order to establish the rule of law and good governance in Ukraine. The main task of the CPLR is to develop and promote the implementation of reforms that will ensure democracy and the rule of law in Ukraine and lead our country to EU membership in the future.
The Reanimation Package of Reforms Coalition brings together 28 leading organizations for the implementation of reforms in Ukraine. Its mission is to support and promote reforms and to help consolidate civil society in Ukraine. The goal of the Сoalition is an independent, united, democratic, legal, strong and authoritative Ukrainian state with a prosperous society and equal opportunities for development and self-realization for every person.
