Based on the results of an open competition, Olena Prokopenko was selected as the new Head of RPR International Relations. Until this appointment, Olena coordinated economic advocacy at the RPR Secretariat.
Olena has over 10 years of professional experience in advocacy and public law. Olena worked as a government relations manager at an international consultancy Hill+Knowlton Strategies where she advised global market leaders such as Apple, Visa, Cargill, Sanofi and others. She also served as an advocacy consultant for a UNDP business development project. Olena authored the first university-level course on lobbying offered in Ukraine working through the country’s leading online education platform and remains one of the most in-demand trainers in this field.
Olena holds a law degree from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Western Illinois University under Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program of the US Department of State. She participated in a number of public policy projects of one of the top US think tanks, the Hudson Institute (Washington, DC).
Until this, the RPR International department was headed by Olena Halushka, one of the best specialists in the field of international relations, who worked 2,5 years in this position.
