The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VIIIth convocation adopted a number of key draft laws advocated by the RPR Coalition in areas such as decentralization and national security, but some important draft laws were not considered or dismissed, such as the introduction of withdrawn capital tax..
“Speaking about the last session of the Verkhovna Rada, the MPs adopted only the law “On Ensuring Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the Official Language” from the list of draft laws developed by the RPR in February this year,” pointed out Taras Shevchenko, a member of the RPR Board.
On February 5, 2019, the RPR Coalition presented the Public Agenda for the 10th session of the Verkhovna Rada: more than 30 draft laws aimed at accelerating the depoliticization of the SSU, strengthening the decentralization reform and unblocking the sale of agricultural land.
Most of these draft laws are still pending, in the works by the committees or were dismissed. For example, consideration of the draft Electoral Code is delayed due to more than 4 thousand amendments made to it.
