The draft law was developed to harmonize the legislation of Ukraine on governmental supervision (control) carried out to verify implementation of the legislation of Ukraine on the quality and safety of food, feeding stuff, animal health and welfare with the EU Regulation 854/2004, No. 882/2004, No. 669/2009 and EU Council Directive No. 97/78/EU. The implementation of the draft law will reduce the number of governmental regulatory bodies and support the business done by the operators of the food, feed and animals markets.
