Roundtable Discussion “Energy Reform Review” – off the record

On February 14, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Reanimation Package of Reforms (RPR), Dixi Group, and the Strategic Advisory Group for Support of Ukrainian Reforms (SAGSUR) will organize roundtable discussion entitled the Energy Reform Review.

The event will convene experts, officials, and practitioners to examine the foundations of Ukraine gas and electricity market. The Energy Reform Review examines the foundations of Ukraine gas and electricity market and electricity market. It analyzes the changes to the legal, structural and institutional framework as well as challenges such as the unbundling of Naftogaz, energy efficiency, gas transit with Russia, generating funds for modernization of the dilapidated electricity infrastructure as well as the integrity and independence of the regulator.

The roundtable is part of the Reforming Ukraine Project, which is a Carnegie initiative to provide objective, rigorous assessments of the Ukrainian reform effort via a series of regular memos and briefings prepared by a team of scholars based inside Ukraine. The discussion will be held under Chatham House rule.
