This is our great honour and pleasure to invite you to an open forum of “CHESNO. Filter the Judiciary!” in partnership with the Reanimation Package of Reforms (RPR) “Instruments of public control over the judicial system” on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:30 in the Parus Business Centre.The forum will feature the public campaign “CHESNO. Filter the Judiciary!” with the first report on its activity over the last 200 days. Also we will present information about judges who were fired and results of analysis of their e-declarations. Moreover, we will show the online tools for informing and controlling the judicial system: the map with courts and judges who work there and profiles of judges. Civil activists, Members of Ukrainian Parliament, representatives of the judicial authority, lawyers, and journalists will discuss the effectiveness of instruments of public control for judges.

The public campaign “CHESNO. Filter the Judiciary!” started in June 2016 in order to cleanse judiciary of dishonest judges. Our campaign will collect and analyse information about all judges in Ukraine. For this purpose, several civil society organizations have joined their efforts, including the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM), Centre UA, Civic Lustration Committee, experts from the Group on Reform of Judiciary of the Reanimation Package of Reforms, lawyers, and investigative journalists.

The event will take place from 10:30 until 14:00. English translation will be provided.
