Media-breakfast “Constitutional Amendments with Respect to the Reform of the Judicial System”

Media-breakfast “Constitutional Amendments with Respect to the Reform of the Judicial System”, organized for foreign correspondents, English-speaking Ukrainian journalists, representatives of the embassies and international institutions, will be held on Friday, December, 4, at 10 a.m. at the office of the Reanimation Package of Reforms initiative (6 Olhynska St., office 21).

On November, 25, 2015, President Petro Poroshenko submitted  to the Verhovna Rada Constitutional amendments with respect to the Reform of the Judicial System (hereinafter the “Amendments”). RPR experts were involved in drafting of the Amendments and in general we consider these Amendments as such that have to be supported. However, there are some issues to the essential part of the Amendments, which RPR experts would like to point out and discuss in order to represent our view how the Reform of Judiciary may be implemented.

Several key issues tha​​t​ ​the speakers will try to answer at the event​ are​:
1. Current status of the Reform of the Judicia​ry​​​ after review of the Venice Commission​ ​Opinion​.
2. TO BE or NOT TO BE: Adoption and implementation of the Constitutional Amendments.
3. Judicial Reform perspective​s​.
