Forum “Results of the Second Session of the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th Convocation”: What Has a Newly-Elected Parliament Done to Reform the Country

A crucial political discussion – socio-political forum “Results of the Second Session of the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th Convocation organized by the Reanimation Package of Reforms civil initiative (RPR) will take place on July 22.

In view of the fact that the second session of the Verkhovna Rada is coming to a close, we are inviting representatives of the parliamentary coalition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, expert community, and diplomatic corps to discuss specific actions taken by the authorities to implement critical reforms in Ukraine in an expedient, transparent, and effective manner in line with the European standards and to talk about the failures in the process of approval and implementation of urgent changes.

Beside the speeches of the heads of parliamentary factions and leading experts, the Forum includes three discussion panels covering the top-priority areas of the reforms (“Assessment of Parliament’s Activity”, “Institutional Reforms”, and “Law and Order”) and the steps to strengthen the state policy. Representatives of political parties will take part in the discussion.

The forum “Parliament for Reforms” will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 22 at the grand conference hall of the Parus business center (2 Mechnikova St., entrance from Lesia Ukrainka Blvd.) Journalists should apply for accreditation on site presenting their credentials. Registration of the participants starts at 09:30 a.m.
