July 14 is the last day of the sixth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation. This is, in fact, the halfway point for the parliament of this convocation and high time to assess the results of MPs’ work, analyze the reform-related activities of the Verkhovna Rada and highlight top-priority state-building changes demanded by the Ukrainian society.
The parliamentary majority has laid out its commitments concerning comprehensive and high-quality reforms in Ukraine in the Coalition Agreement. This document was drafted with the wide participation of the public, including the experts of the Reanimation Package of Reforms, and with due account of the most of the requirements and recommendations of the civil society.
Therefore, the Reanimation Package of Reforms brings together leaders of the factions which signed the Coalition Agreement of the Deputy Factions “European Ukraine” in November 2014, as well as representatives of international institutions and diplomatic corps, leading experts, public figures, opinion leaders and journalists, on one platform to sum up the results of the parliamentary halfway point.
